Our team has considerable cross-sector experience, having worked for nearly 50 years on transport and highways related projects

A complete highway design service delivered by a team of experts

Creative thinking and state-of-the-art technology allows our team of expert highways engineers to deliver a complete design service from initial feasibility, through planning to detailed design and construction.

Our team has considerable cross-sector experience, having worked for nearly 50 years on transport and highways related projects. Our aim is to ease congestion, reduce emissions and improve safety by ensuring the optimum transport access to a site can be achieved and the on- and off-site impact of any development is appropriately mitigated for all modes of transport.

From small-scale projects to large industrial, commercial, retail and residential developments, our team provides smart, integrated and sustainable solutions.

Road Safety Audit

Building on the pioneering work in road safety engineering by Sir William Glanville over many years, we have gained substantial experience undertaking Road Safety and Non-Motorised User Audits for a wide variety of highway schemes across the country.

Now required by highway authorities on virtually all improvement schemes, Road Safety Audit is a formal process designed to reduce personal injury accidents by identifying potential road safety problems and suggesting mitigation measures. All road users are considered, with particular attention paid to those most at risk of injury, such as pedestrians and cyclists. Audits must be carried out by an independent team, not involved in the scheme design, to provide a completely impartial review.

There are four stages of Road Safety Audit undertaken as follows:

Stage 1 – Preliminary design
Stage 2 – Detailed design
Stage 3 – Completion of construction
Stage 4 – 12 months after completion, to review any emerging accident trends

We are able to audit schemes developed by in-house designers as well as those designed by external parties.
