The latest technology combined with years of experience
Traffic congestion, poor access to public transport and inadequate pedestrian and cycle routes are often serious barriers to development. We use the powerful micro-simulation traffic modelling package, VISSIM, to model the behaviour of individual vehicles on the road network and provide real-time visualisations of traffic behaviour, while the use of more established junction capacity software allows network constraints to be quickly identified and resolved.
We have specialist skills in the following software packages:
VISSIM – for assessing complex junctions and networks
ARCADY – for assessing normal and mini-roundabouts
PICADY – for assessing priority junctions
LinSig and TRANSYT – for assessing signal-controlled junctions and networks
