About Us
Our story: celebrating fifty years
2022 marked Glanville’s 50th anniversary. A milestone we are hugely proud of. Founded by John Glanville in 1972, from a small, shared office next to the railway line in St Albans, John and his team provided a Civil and Structural Engineering design service.
Fifty years later we have grown to be well-respected professional property consultants across not just Civil and Structural Engineering but also Transport Planning, Highways Engineering, Building Surveying, and Geomatics.
With a team of 100 people based across our four offices, we service a diverse range of prestigious clients throughout the British Isles in both the public and private sector.
In celebration of our 50th anniversary we produced a short history of Glanville – the ups, the downs and the remarkable people who have helped make the company what it is today. You can download the book here: Glanville Anniversary Book Online

Team Glanville
Diversity and Inclusion
We are committed to improving equality, diversity and inclusion within Glanville and want to be seen as a positive role model for our industry. That’s why we have embedded inclusivity into our core values and behaviours. We have a culture that respects each other’s opinions, treats people with respect regardless of their culture, religion, age, race, sexual orientation or disability and accepts and respects people’s individuality.
We continually seek out ways to educate and improve ourselves through training in areas such as unconscious bias training and we proactively work with our professional colleagues to create initiatives that encourage diversity in construction.
