Glanville acted as transport consultant for Waitrose in connection with a mixed-use development that will revitalise a derelict site in the heart of Guildford, Surrey. The scheme, which includes a food store, residential accommodation and community facilities, received planning permission in late 2012.
We were appointed at the pre-application stage and were heavily involved with the public consultation exercise. We subsequently prepared a multi-modal Transport Assessment and Travel Plan to accompany the planning application and prepared the preliminary design of the off-site highway works required to provide access to the site and mitigate the development’s impact.
Our surveyors also prepared a 3-dimensional Revit modelling of an existing building that will be extended and converted for community use.
