Glanville has been involved in the project since initial planning in 2015, working closely with the lead designer, Anthony Stiff Associates. The brief from client, Wokingham Borough Council was to deliver an attractive, low-impact and sustainable solution that blended new hard and soft landscaping skilfully with its natural surroundings in a cost-effective way.
The project provided an intensification of the existing park, providing a number of additional activities and introducing more formal car parking areas. Environmental considerations were paramount this park that covers 40 hectares of lake, ancient bogland and lowland heath, including Longmoor Bog, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve.
