1,200 new homes for Cambridgeshire

Contracts have completed for Bellway and Latimer, the development arm of Clarion Housing Group, to acquire a parcel of land on which it will build 1,200 homes as part of a joint venture in Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire.

Glanville have been working with Bellway and Clarion to provide structural engineering design and consultancy throughout the due diligence period up to the purchase of the site.

The site is situated on the fringes of Cambridge city centre, adjacent to Cambridge airport. It extends to 138 acres and will deliver exceptional designs and a high quality of sustainable living for 1,200 homes of which 40% will be affordable housing. The development also consists of two new schools, retail space, outdoor areas and a community building for the new neighbourhood.
