The first phase of construction of the new Bicester North substation was completed earlier this year. Glanville is the civil and structural engineering designer for the substation, which is an integral part of Scottish and Southern Energy Networks’ £24 million project to reinforce the electrical network in Bicester and the surrounding areas to accommodate current demand and future growth.
The Bicester North substation is one of over 350 schemes which Glanville’s specialist design team have undertaken for the electricity supply and distribution sector since 2006.
