This project comprised of a new build retail, commercial and residential mixture where the client was keen to provide a high-end retail space at ground floor level. The building was designed as a concrete frame structure with the ground floor level used as a semi basement.
Careful consideration had to be given to the construction methodology due to close proximity of the Overhead Tube line. The boundary wall between the proposed building and the railway line was supporting the embankment and Glanville carried out the temporary works for the wall along with the liaison with Network Rail.
The project was completed in 2021 and the overall cost of the build was approximately £6m.
