Howard Dowell, Associate Director

Chartered Structural Engineer, BSc, CEng, MIStructE

Howard is a Structural Engineer with extensive experience in commercial and residential developments. As well as specialist expertise in industrial floor slabs, Howard has a wide range of experience in multi storey concrete and steel frame structures and low rise residential and load bearing masonry and timber. He also has in-depth knowledge of most types of spread foundations, ground improvement techniques and piling.

In his role as Associate Director for Glanville, Howard is one of the lead engineers for McDonald’s Restaurant Ltd, providing structural engineering for alterations and refurbishment of current stores as well as providing engineering support for new stores.  He also works across other projects providing structural engineering design for housing developments and retail outlets, working closely with Architects and Developers/Contractors at design and construction stages.

Junaid Farooq, Associate Director

Chartered Structural Engineer, BEng (Hons) MSc CEng MIStructE

Junaid is an ambitious Structural Engineer with a rapidly growing portfolio of experience and expertise. Since joining Glanville, Junaid has been involved in a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, education and refurbishment works. After gaining chartership in 2018, Junaid swiftly rose to Associate Director and is currently project director for various projects.

Junaid has extensive experience in Steel and concrete framed structures and also has been responsible for the delivery of significant private residential developments with bespoke elements. He has also been involved in the design of various new and refurbished steel frame motor dealerships and commercial projects using traditional construction and steel frame design.

Mike Ford, Associate Director

Highways Engineer

Mike is an experienced Civil Engineer with a sought-after expertise in traffic and highway engineering. Mike oversees a range of highway improvement schemes undertaking initial feasibility assessment, preparing preliminary designs and securing technical approval for detailed designs.

Mike has expertise in the use of various design and analysis software including ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, and TRICS. He has been responsible for the production of numerous Transport Assessments to accompany planning submissions for new developments as well as detailed data analysis of traffic surveys and junction operations, including both controlled and uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. As part of his work in the field of traffic and highway engineering, he has developed his expertise in road safety engineering successfully completing the RoSPA Road Safety Engineering course and has since acted as a Team Member on Road Safety Audits for a number of highway schemes at all stages of design and construction.

Fredi Gilibereti, Associate Director

Chartered Civil Engineer, BEng (Hons), MSc

Fredi is an ambitious Civil Engineer with a solid industry background and wide experience in large projects. From highway improvement schemes to drainage schemes, Fredi provides significant design input in the development of infrastructure schemes from conceptual design to post-construction.

Fredi is also adept at liaising with clients, highway and water authorities, service providers, the Environment Agency, and other statutory authorities, to negotiate scheme approval, road and sewer adoption, sewer connections and services coordination.

Benjamin Hextall, Associate Director

Chartered Land Surveyor, BSc MSc MRICS

As a key member of Glanville’s geomatics team, Ben plays a key role in leading the growth of this service within the organisation. He has a forward thinking philosophy and is always creative in ensuring that the client’s expectations are fully met.

A very personable individual, Ben has completed extensive projects in landmark architecture, both in the UK and abroad, and specialises in measured surveys in heritage, new design projects and 3d laser scanning. He has experience in off-shore surveying and calibration techniques as well as measured building and topographical surveys, levelling, setting out, as built and river sections.

Sujal Parikh, Associate Director

Chartered Civil Engineer, BEng CEng MICE

Sujal is an experienced Civil Engineer, with particular expertise in the design and management of drainage, highways and infrastructure projects. As one of Glanville’s lead engineers, Sujal leads a team of senior engineers, graduate engineers and CAD technicians with responsibility for various projects for key clients such as McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd, Berkeley Homes and Berkeley Strategic.

Sujal has developed his expertise across a range of sectors, including residential, retail, commercial and industrial developments both in the UK and overseas. He frequently works across all phases of a project from concept and feasibility to planning and construction. His experience includes the design of a wide range of highway & drainage projects, analysis of service infrastructure requirements, negotiations for Highway and Water Authority approvals, adoption legal agreements, the management of development infrastructure projects, team resources, client liaison, performance and budgets.

Kevin Payne, Associate Director

Chartered Structural Engineer, MEng CEng MIStructE

Kevin is a highly competent structural engineer, who uses his wealth of experience to deliver practical solutions for commercial and residential schemes, both new build and refurbishment.

He has gained an appreciation of structural design, designing in all four of the principal construction materials and various foundation solutions. Kevin has worked on a number of projects including a number of private houses, several with basements and one of which featured on Grand Designs. He has also been involved with a number of housing projects, a large steel portal frame building and office refurbishments.

Kevin Rayner, Associate Director

Civil Engineer, BEng

Kevin is an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in infrastructure, commercial and residential design. Kevin is a ‘safe pair of hands’ for any civil engineering project. As Associate Director he takes he leads numerous projects, bringing together the engineering team to find cost-effective solutions for our clients.

Kevin is an expert in the preparation of engineering drawings and details using the latest software design tools. He frequently takes the lead on carrying out site investigations and feasibility reports to assist in the acquisition of new sites.

Kevin is experienced in negotiation with statutory and local authorities to procure the necessary approvals, and management of the design process. He has experience of civil engineering scheme design, including flood risk assessments, and has assisted in numerous planning applications.

Peter Whitehead, Associate Director

Chartered Civil Engineer, BSc CEng MICE MCIHT

Peter is a stalwart of Civil Engineering with extensive experience across all sectors. Peter’s experience includes the design development of major UK trunk road schemes, including Public Inquiry.

Having gained particular knowledge and experience in environmental and safety aspects, he has become increasingly involved in other traffic and transportation projects, gaining experience in assessment of traffic impact and road safety engineering. More recently, Peter has led Glanville’s involvement in the field of traffic and transport engineering. Peter has also acted as an expert witness on a number of occasions.
