Our team is highly motivated and committed to the delivering of successful projects. We have a proven track record in solving complex transport planning challenges across various sectors. Due to our expanding workload, we are now looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to join our Didcot office. 

You will be part of a talented and enthusiastic team of Transport Planners and Engineers who enjoy working on a diverse range of challenging projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Transport Planner who is ready to take the next step in their career. The role offers the chance to develop your technical and commercial skills, contribute to the growth of the business, and work closely with senior management. 

We are looking for candidates with a solid consultancy background in Transport Planning and a passion for delivering high-quality work. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out the preparation of site appraisals, feasibility studies and pre-application advice
  • Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
  • Undertake traffic modelling and junction capacity assessments
  • Liaise with clients, project team members and local authorities
  • Attend meetings with clients, local authorities and/or other members of the project team
  • Enhance and promote the image of Glanville Consultants by their actions
  • Key Skills & Experience

    Essential 

  • Qualified to a minimum degree level in an appropriate subject
  • An ability to deal with clients and other professionals
  • An ability to professionally represent the company
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Experience in preparing Transport Assessments / Statements
  • Ability to use industry standard junction modelling
  •  
    Desirable 

  • Chartered in an appropriate subject discipline
  • Experience with highway design and Road Safety Audits
  • An ability to foster client relationships
